OPEN LETTER
hi my dearest angel friends,
as i celebrate my 30th birthday, i find myself reflecting not on what i've become, but on what i've created. thirty years of living authentically, of daring to exist in a world that often told me i couldn't. not without challenges, not without envy, not without danger. i've fought for my name, my body, my right to walk safely at night. but as a human being made of light, complexity, and endless love, i stand free. to live long enough to celebrate your own existence is still a radical act.
across our world, trans women face staggering violence and exclusion. according to the trans murder monitoring project, latin america alone accounts for nearly 70% of the world’s reported murders of trans and gender-diverse people, with mexico among the top three countries globally. each year, dozens of names are lost, sisters, daughters, lovers, artists, all erased by hate. this violence, and the social neglect that feeds it, means that the average life expectancy of trans women in the region is estimated between 35 and 41 years — not because our bodies can’t survive longer, but because society still refuses to let us. so when i say i made it, i mean i have lived past a statistic.
this golden woman, honest, a little chaotic, but deeply, deeply alive, stands today at the intersection of a beautiful path, where art, diplomacy, and transformation come together. through my nonprofit, beautiful creatures of the night, i've been building a bridge between france and mexico, using art, culture, and diplomacy to uplift trans and queer voices.
our organization works to create artist residencies, cultural exchanges, and inclusive creative spaces that highlight the extraordinary talent in mexico’s queer and artistic communities often overlooked. these angels need and deserve protection, guidance and celebration. i’m honored to be one of many who can help bring light into this world.
we are now proudly collaborating on a historic initiative for the 200-year anniversary of france–mexico diplomatic relations—bringing art, film, and social dialogue together in a celebration of diversity and creativity.

*lucid dreams* is a project of art and cultural diplomacy. it weaves film, music, and public dialogue to platform queer and trans creators and reimagine how institutions engage with community. this work lives at the intersection of creation and policy—using culture to move hearts, and diplomacy to move systems.

with artist mexican fidel matos verdejo we created a neo-political capsule with the support of vans europe, #GOSHSAVETHEDOLLS, a message that is not only a powerhouse take on celebrating transness but a geopolitical revolution. with fashion we make statements as well.
